This Fall, Newman & Lickstein sponsored the 2024 Genius NY Pitch Finals. At this yearly event, startups compete for a $1 million grand prize investment. This year, there were five finalists, Aerialoop, Crover, Flyhound, INVOLI, and Aviant. Aviant, which specializes in advanced drone technology took home the grand prize, while the four runners up each received a $500,000 prize investment. Central New York has emerged as a leading destination for drone-related businesses and growth.
